About the Role

Our client in the tourism and marketing division is seeking a Project Manager: Business Development to join their team based in Pretoria. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving business development initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and managing projects from inception to financial closure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consult with management at all relevant stages of the PPP project cycle and ensure ongoing consultation and buy-in from relevant stakeholders.
  • Directly support the Head: Business Development Unit to comply with Treasury Regulation 16 of the Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (PFMA).
  • Manage projects from inception to signing of the PPP agreement and financial closure.
  • Ensure projects are affordable, provide optimal value-for-money solutions, and appropriately allocate risk to private parties.
  • Manage all information systems necessary for proper planning and implementation of projects.
  • Proactively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to optimise opportunities for project success.

Requirements

  • Business Degree in Commerce, Tourism, Project Management, or relevant.
  • 6 years management experience; PPP Implementation experience is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of project management.
  • Understanding of financial feasibility studies.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislations.
  • Financial management and analytical skills.
  • Negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • Computer skills.
  • Strategic planning skills.
  • Diversity and change management skills.
  • Communication Skills (verbal and written).
