About the Role

The Industrial Engineer will support the Finance department in analysing operational and financial data within logistics and supply chain operations to improve cost efficiency, productivity, and profitability. This role bridges the gap between Finance and Operations by providing operational insight into financial performance, enabling better cost control, improved profitability, and data-driven decision-making within logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse logistics operational costs, including transport, warehousing, labour, and equipment.
  • Develop and maintain cost models for logistics operations.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
  • Support pricing models, cost-to-serve analysis, and profitability analysis.
  • Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
  • Conduct time and motion studies within warehouse and logistics operations.
  • Evaluate labour productivity, equipment utilisation, and process efficiency.
  • Recommend improvements to reduce operational costs and improve efficiency.
  • Develop dashboards and reports using tools such as Excel and Power BI.
  • Provide regular financial and operational performance reports to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering (BEng / BSc Industrial Engineering)
  • 25 years experience in logistics, supply chain, warehousing, or distribution
  • Experience working with operational and financial data
  • Experience in cost analysis, productivity analysis, or financial modelling preferred
  • Experience supporting finance or operational finance functions advantageous
