About the Role
The National Warehouse Manager at Stage Zero will be responsible for overseeing all national warehouse activities and managing warehouse staff across multiple locations in line with Stage Zero’s policies, industry best practices, and relevant laws and regulations. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of our extensive distribution network.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the daily operations of multiple warehouses, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in processes.
- Strategically manage all warehouse operations in compliance with company policies and visions.
- Developing long-term strategies for warehouse expansion, capacity planning, and resource allocation to meet business needs.
- Proven experience in implementing and optimizing operational policies and procedures across large-scale operations.
- Overseeing inventory levels across locations, implementing systems for tracking and replenishing stock.
- Ensuring all warehouse operations comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess warehouse efficiency and productivity.
- Preparing regular reports on warehouse operations, inventory levels, and performance metrics for senior management.
- Assist with the setup, opening, and recruitment for new warehouses across South Africa, including workflow, staffing, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans to meet productivity, quality, and customer service standards.
- Experience with managing national fleet logistics and enforcing standards of health, safety, hygiene, and security.
- Creating training programs for staff to enhance skills and knowledge related to warehouse operations and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- A relevant degree/diploma in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration will be advantageous.
- Minimum of 7 years proven experience managing large, multi-site distribution centres, specifically within FMCG, with multiple shifts and a large workforce.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
