About the Role
As a Chargehand at Route Management, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our bays, ensuring that all repairs and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Motivate and control employees in the workshop
- Report back to management on progress of repairs on trailers
- Outside running of repairs
- Receiving and completion of job cards
- Quality control on all service work
- Completion of service check sheet
- Reporting of additional work found on trailers
- Applying discipline in the workshop
- Ensure employees timesheets are correct and submitted before deadlines
- Delivery of trailers in time given
Requirements
- Matric is an advantage
- Minimum 3 years experience in trailer manufacturing and repairs
- Previous work experience or qualifications in mechanical work/Boiler making/Welding
- Mechanically and technically able
- Trailer parts knowledge
- Leadership skills
- Bilingual
- Deadline driven
- Able to work under pressure
- Able to work overtime
- Good general health
- Must produce quality of work
- Must be able to delegate
