About the Role
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overall performance and well-being of the warehouse receiving, storage and picking departments of the distribution centre, its staff and its customers. Monitoring operational capacity and process to ensure the sustainability of the distribution centre’s warehouse operations at the right cost and to the right quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost control: Warehouse expenditure is managed within budget.
- Labour management: Labour is managed within budgeted KPIs.
- Stock losses management: Stock losses are managed within budgeted KPIs.
- Stock damages management: Stock damages are managed within budgeted KPIs.
- Repairs and maintenance management: Repairs and maintenance are managed within budgeted KPIs.
- Machinery management: Machinery is managed within budgeted KPIs.
- Cost overruns investigation: Cost overruns are investigated, and appropriate countermeasures are instituted to prevent further overruns.
- Expenditure recording: Expenditure is recorded in the correct period.
- Accounts accuracy: Accounts are accurate.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in Warehousing & Distribution Management role within a QSR / FMCG environment.
- Grade 12 with Tertiary degree in Supply Chain / Logistics Management or similar.
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Advanced MS Excel Skills.
- Advanced Warehouse Management Systems experience.
- Advanced MS Great Plains.
