About the Role
To operate an automated plant in Bloemfontein, South Africa, and achieve maximum production output while minimizing waste. The successful candidate will utilize advanced electrical skills and mechanical expertise to identify and rectify production line issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations and monitoring of a highly automated plant
- Adjusting settings on the plant to achieve high-quality and consistent smooth production
- Analyzing and performing fault finding to ensure maximum uptime and optimization of machinery for maximum output
- Resolving technical problems by creating alternative solutions and applying specialized techniques to decrease losses due to line stoppages
- Ensuring the production performance of the plant is in accordance with set objectives
- Maintaining and repairing production lines mechanically and electrically, following a proper maintenance plan for continuous production
- Ensuring high manufacturing standards through preventative maintenance
- Adhering to quality standards fully
- Ensuring adherence to Health and Safety requirements in the plant
- Efficiently managing a shift team of up to 8 employees
- Leading, motivating, and developing a sustainable team for the future
Requirements
- Relevant National N4 Diploma in Millwright Electrical and Mechanical
- Millwright trade test
- At least 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- At least 8 years of experience as a qualified millwright
- Good people management skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Experience with process control, instrumentation, and automation
- Computer literacy
- Strong mechanical skills
- Ability to work shifts
Qualifications
- Formal education or certifications in Millwright Electrical and Mechanical (if applicable)
Salary & Benefits
- TCTC monthly salary: R40 000.00 to R55 000.00, depending on experience
- Key performance incentive: R10 000.00 per month
