About the Role

The Human Capital Intern role is a 24-month opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist in the administration of human capital functions within our organisation. This internship will provide valuable experience in recruitment, employee onboarding, offboarding, and HR operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruitment administration, including vacancy activations and interview scheduling
  • Conduct references, psychometric assessments, and MIE checks for new hires
  • Manage employee documentation and transfer paperwork
  • Ensure smooth employee induction processes
  • Adhere to offboarding checklists and communicate with internal stakeholders on the process
  • Record keeping and updating of employee electronic files
  • Assist with employment equity initiatives, including collecting EEA1 forms and collating EE barriers
  • Support performance management by assisting HCBP and HCO with scheduling annual trainings
  • Coordinate employee wellness initiatives and provide updates on the approved plan
  • Provide admin support for HC projects as per the HC annual calendar

Requirements

  • A degree in Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, or Organisational Psychology
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Formal education in Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, or Organisational Psychology
