About the Role
FROGG Recruitment is seeking an experienced AML Onboarding Consultant to join our client’s team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of the compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all clients are compliant with South Africa’s financial crime legislation, primarily the FIC Act. With a strong focus on client onboarding and account management, this role is ideal for someone with specific experience in AML/FIC Administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Fulfil the role of an AML/FIC Administrator (Anti-Money Laundering / Financial Intelligence Centre Act Administrator) ensuring compliance with South Africa’s financial crime legislation.
- Perform client onboarding process and account creation for individuals and legal entities, including validation checks on submitted documents.
- Ensure all client accounts are loaded and authorised in the AML system nCino.
- Follow-up on outstanding information/documents with clients and deliver exceptional client service by providing regular feedback.
- Work with Compliance and Internal audit to ensure adherence to the FICA RMCP.
- Submit high-risk clients to Compliance for review and verify changes to static data.
- Implement and maintain process controls using workflow management.
- Review all current clients and remediate where FICA requirements are not met.
Requirements
- Matric certificate
- AML Certification (an advantage)
- Relevant experience of at least 2 years in a related role, dealing with client onboarding processes.
- Sound foundational understanding and exposure to South Africa’s financial crime legislation, including but not limited to the FIC Act.
