About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Group Reporting Manager for a JSE listed company based at their Head Office in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will lead and enhance the financial reporting of the group, bringing strong technical accounting, consolidations, and reporting skills to this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consolidate, compile, and prepare for the release of interim and final group results
  • Prepare financial statements for the annual report and review Integrated Report financial inputs
  • Produce ad hoc consolidated group statistics for regulatory or compliance purposes
  • Prepare the financial section of Group Board packs
  • Deliver consolidated information for strategy sessions
  • Collate monthly group management accounts
  • Stay up to date with technical accounting developments
  • Liaise with external auditors on technical matters and audit planning
  • Drive continuous improvement of reporting processes and systems
  • Oversee head office financial reporting function, covering multiple reporting units
  • Lead and guide the Assistant Group Reporting Manager and Head Office Financial Manager

Requirements

  • CA(SA) qualified
  • Minimum 5 years post‑articles experience
  • Strong consolidation and group reporting experience (listed environment beneficial)
  • Strong academic background
  • Advanced Excel proficiency
  • Excellent technical accounting and financial reporting skills
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to commit extra hours when needed
  • Able to perform under pressure and manage tight deadlines
  • Strong time‑management and organisational skills
  • Research‑driven and eager to learn
  • High level of accountability and ownership
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong numerical aptitude

Qualifications

  • Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.)
