About the Role

Macrocomm is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team, responsible for overseeing the operational efficiencies of site water and smart metering operations. The successful candidate will plan, organize, direct, and review activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, managing budgets, and liaising with clients. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in project management.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering the project implementation, based on standard project methodology and best practice.

• Manage delivery of job and ensure safety standards are met.

• Deliver safety training on site.

• Ensuring OSHA compliance and responding to emergency situations.

• Project budget management and compliance.

• Customer liaison and management.

• Preparation of routine reports and cost analysis.

• Supervise, train, instruct, and motivate employees.

• Plan, direct, coordinate, supervise and review the work of assigned field teams in scattered locations engaged in electricity meters and/or water devices maintenance, repair, installation, construction, and vehicle maintenance.

• Process and resolve employee grievances.

• Review, approve prepare requisitions for necessary equipment, material and supplies.

• Oversee stock management as available resources for the site/ project.

• Complete and maintain a variety of records and reports including time and materials records, work reports, and cost records.

• Stakeholder management: Manage relationship and key deliverables for all service providers, stakeholders and contractors, related to the project, including municipality heads, municipality technical teams, community liaisons, service provider employees and other relevant stakeholders critical for project success.

• Reporting and feedback to stakeholders

Requirements

Basic knowledge of functions and installation of a wide variety of electrical equipment used in generators, transformers, breakers, motors, pumps, and related equipment and control systems and water metres.

Understanding of the basic elements of civil engineering as they relate to water production, storage and distribution, and well development.
