About the Role
A reliable and experienced Reliability & Maintenance Engineer is required for a reputable water treatment company based in Paarl or Johannesburg (JNB). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhancing the overall reliability and availability of Operation and Maintenance contracts
- Providing Maintenance and equipment expertise
- Analysing equipment failure data and conducting Root Cause Analyses with the assistance of the Maintenance Teams
- Developing and Implementing procedures and processes to increase reliability
- Understanding the cost of equipment maintenance and developing reliable budget and forecasting
- Taking part in design reviews to increase reliability of new plant/equipment
- Participating in HAZOP studies to improve maintainability of plants/equipment
- Tracking plant maintenance KPIs and utilising Maintenance Data from the CMMS to inform strategies and tactics
- Providing leadership to enhance Maintenance Activities, Strategies and Tactics
- Analysing data to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the Maintenance Departments
Requirements
- Engineering degree (B.Eng Industrial/Mechanical)
- 3 years experience as a reliability engineer in an industrial/mining environment
- Experience in water treatment equipment will be an advantage
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis, RCM principles,
- Experience with CMMS systems, Maintenance Planning and data analysis
- Computer literacy
- The successful candidate must be a fast learner and able to work with little supervision
- Own transport
