About the Role
The iLembe: General Manager (Environmental) role is a critical position that requires exceptional leadership and technical expertise to drive operational excellence and environmental sustainability in Ballito. As the main representative of our organization, you will be responsible for fostering cross-stream synergies, managing risks, and promoting a culture of responsibility and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Encourage cross-stream synergies to improve overall impact, operational consistency, and cost effectiveness.
- Act as the main negotiator and external representation for important stakeholders.
- Determine, evaluate, and reduce risks related to operations, finances, regulations, and reputation.
- Oversee, coach, and grow the operational leadership group.
- Promote a culture of responsibility, excellence, and ongoing development.
- Create and oversee a structured operational schedule that includes performance check-ins, operational reviews, and weekly management meetings.
