About the Role
As an Internal Sales Representative at our company, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and strengthening customer relationships. You will be responsible for achieving budgeted sales targets, maintaining market share, and driving profitability. Key Responsibilities
- Implement sales initiatives in line with the ACC strategic plan and approved budget.
- Drive revenue growth through new business development and expansion of existing accounts.
- Monitor monthly sales per customer and analyse buying patterns to ensure target achievement.
- Extract and analyse daily sales data from SAP to track performance vs targets and implement corrective action where required.
- Maintain accurate customer master data and ensure integrity of all sales information on SAP/ERP systems.
- Initiate and manage promotional activities, trade evenings, and marketing campaigns to grow market share.
- Assist with credit applications and work closely with Debtors to ensure collections remain within 45-day terms.
- Monitor gross profit daily and implement action plans to protect margins.
- Ensure correct pricing structures are applied and maintained at all times.
- Resolve or escalate customer queries in line with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular customer visits, product presentations, and training to ensure alignment with company strategy.
- Support compliance with internal controls, policies, and relevant regulations.
- Optimise use of company resources (vehicle, cell phone, expenses) and manage costs within budget.
Requirements
- Matric Certificate in Sales and Marketing (NQF 5) or equivalent.
- 3 years experience as a Sales Representative within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing customer accounts.
- Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of sales reporting, margin management, and debtor control.
