About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Procurement (Buyer) & Logistics Co-ordinator to join our team in Milnerton, South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our procurement and logistics operations, ensuring efficient supply chain management, and driving cost reduction initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement: Vendor sourcing and supplier evaluation
- Negotiating contracts and pricing
- Cost analysis and cost reduction initiatives
- Purchase order management
- Market research and supplier performance monitoring
- Logistics: Inventory management and warehouse coordination
- Transportation planning and fleet coordination
- Import/export documentation
- Supply chain coordination
- Managing international shipments and ensuring on-time delivery
Requirements
- Minimum 35 years experience in procurement and/or logistics
- Proven experience negotiating supplier contracts and discounts
- Experience coordinating international shipments
- Exposure to implementation of procurement and logistics systems
- Experience in export environment (Angolan market highly advantageous)
Qualifications
- Relevant qualification (BSc Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or similar)
- Certifications (Advantageous) CIPS / ISM / CSCMP / APICS (CSCP or CPIM)
