About the Role
This is a proactive, target-driven technical sales role responsible for driving revenue across multiple engineered product lines. The successful candidate will engage with consultants, EPC contractors, facility managers, and end clients from project inception through to execution, while actively influencing specifications and expanding regional presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales into the electrical, industrial, data centre, and medical industries
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across the SADC region
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with consultants, EPC contractors, facility managers, and key stakeholders
- Influence design and specification stages to secure inclusion in project scopes
- Market Expansion & Regional Development
- Conduct market research to identify trends and growth opportunities
- Travel extensively across assigned territories
- Represent the business at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events
- Support brand positioning and regional visibility initiatives
- Sales Process & Client Engagement
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing
- Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals
- Provide technical support during project planning and execution
- Follow up on tenders and quotations to maximise conversion
- Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Submit weekly and monthly pipeline and forecast reports
- Provide competitor and market intelligence feedback
Requirements
Degree or diploma in Sales, Business Development, or Engineering preferred
Minimum 5 years experience in technical sales within construction, electrical, industrial, or medical sectors
Experience working in project-based environments and engaging consultants or specifiers
Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills
Willingness to travel extensively across South Africa and the SADC region
