About the Role
The Production Manager â Site Operations is a critical role that oversees the daily production execution against targets for output, efficiency, and on-time delivery. This position requires a strong leader to drive performance management, skills development, and workforce planning while championing safe working practices and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily production execution against targets for output, efficiency, and on-time delivery
- Optimise the utilisation of labour, equipment, and materials, in line with SOPs
- Ensure schedule adherence and stable production flow
- Maintenance & Asset Management: Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies
- Drive equipment availability, uptime, and OEE performance
- Collaborate on CMMS accuracy, shutdown planning, upgrades, and commissioning
- People Leadership & Team Development: Lead and manage supervisors, artisans, operators, and support staff
- Drive performance management, skills development, and workforce planning
- Build accountability, ownership, and a continuous improvement culture
- Health, Safety & Environment: Champion safe working practices and regulatory compliance
- Conduct audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Drive near-miss reporting and safety training compliance
- Quality & Continuous Improvement: Ensure right-first-time production and reduced scrap/waste
- Lead root-cause analysis on defects and non-conformances
- Drive Lean, OEE, 5S, Kaizen, and process optimisation initiatives
Requirements
- Proven background managing high-output production operations
- Strong knowledge of maintenance, reliability, and asset management
- Solid understanding of HSE and quality compliance
- Data-driven decision-making and KPI-led management approach
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
Technical qualification in Engineering, Production Management, or similar (advantageous)
