About the Role

The Production Manager – Site Operations is a critical role that oversees the daily production execution against targets for output, efficiency, and on-time delivery. This position requires a strong leader to drive performance management, skills development, and workforce planning while championing safe working practices and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production execution against targets for output, efficiency, and on-time delivery
  • Optimise the utilisation of labour, equipment, and materials, in line with SOPs
  • Ensure schedule adherence and stable production flow
  • Maintenance & Asset Management: Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies
  • Drive equipment availability, uptime, and OEE performance
  • Collaborate on CMMS accuracy, shutdown planning, upgrades, and commissioning
  • People Leadership & Team Development: Lead and manage supervisors, artisans, operators, and support staff
  • Drive performance management, skills development, and workforce planning
  • Build accountability, ownership, and a continuous improvement culture
  • Health, Safety & Environment: Champion safe working practices and regulatory compliance
  • Conduct audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
  • Drive near-miss reporting and safety training compliance
  • Quality & Continuous Improvement: Ensure right-first-time production and reduced scrap/waste
  • Lead root-cause analysis on defects and non-conformances
  • Drive Lean, OEE, 5S, Kaizen, and process optimisation initiatives

Requirements

  • Proven background managing high-output production operations
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance, reliability, and asset management
  • Solid understanding of HSE and quality compliance
  • Data-driven decision-making and KPI-led management approach
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
