About the Role

The HR Assistant/HR Administrator role at Unique Personnel Ltd is a critical support function that ensures the smooth execution of HR processes across all regions. This position provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the National HR Manager, maintaining accurate HR systems, documentation, and daily operational HR activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide full administrative support to the National HR Manager and HR department.
  • Maintain and update employee records, personnel files, and HR databases.
  • Ensure all HR documentation is accurately filed and up-to-date.
  • Draft HR-related correspondence, contracts, and standard documents.
  • Assist with job postings, CV screening, and interview scheduling.
  • Coordinate onboarding processes including induction packs and documentation.
  • Support consistent recruitment administration across all regions.
  • Assist with monthly payroll preparation and checking of employee data.
  • Capture and maintain leave records, attendance, and timekeeping systems (PRP or similar).
  • Maintain up-to-date employee files in line with company and legal requirements.
  • Assist with audits of personnel files, contracts, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist in initiating disciplinary processes under the guidance of the National HR Manager.
  • Provide administrative and procedural support during disciplinary hearings.
  • Chair disciplinary hearings where appropriate, under supervision and delegation from the National HR Manager.
  • Assist with coordination of training sessions and maintaining training records.
  • Support tracking of employee development and skills documentation.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related field
