Cape Town City Centre: Project Execution Manager (Large Projects)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Execution Manager to join our client’s team in Cape Town, responsible for managing large-scale EPC energy or water treatment projects with a proven track record of delivering successful (> R900m) projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise construction teams (site supervisors, commissioning engineers) and coordinate disciplines (process, mechanical, electrical, control systems)
• Ensure health and safety legislation and contractual obligations pertaining to health & safety are adhered to throughout the project
• Lead an engineering team to develop technical solutions in compliance with company standards and best practices
• Prepare execution plans, technical specifications, and commercial evaluations for equipment and subcontractors
• Manage man-hour budget on project management, engineering studies, site audits, and tenders
• Conduct energy audits and feasibility studies and build the asset
• Represent the company during technical and commercial meetings with potential customers, vendors, and subcontractors

Requirements

• BSc/BEng in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Pr. Eng registration (advantageous)
• Proven expertise in biomass power plant construction or energy recovery
• Experience in Hazardous Waste and/or Waste to Energy
• General working knowledge in disciplines: process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems
