About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Financial Manager/Senior Financial Accountant to join our team in Stellenbosch. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, providing guidance to junior accountants, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Process complex financial transactions, including journals and accruals
- Review and provide guidance on the work of Junior Accountants
- Own and manage the month-end processing cycle
- Prepare annual IFRS financial statements for SA, US, and Consolidated reporting
- Prepare monthly ARR/MRR management reports across company software products
- Lead SA/US financial audits, prepare working papers, and manage VAT and sales taxes
- Own Opex budgets (actual vs. planned) and liaise with teams on variances
- Assist with annual financial planning
Requirements
- 5 years of experience as a Senior Financial Accountant or equivalent
- Accounting degree and post-graduate qualification
- Strong IFRS exposure and financial statement preparation skills
- Proficiency in cloud systems, with QuickBooks Online experience highly advantageous
- Industry experience in Technology or software industry preferred (SaaS)
- Agile and adaptive to a changing environment
