Job Description

Position: Branch Financial Manager Industry: Automotive Location: Bryanston, Sandton Remuneration: Up to R40,000 to R45,000 CTC per month KPI-based incentive Role Overview The Branch Financial Manager will be responsible for the full financial stewardship of the dealership, ensuring sound financial control, compliance, and strategic financial support across all departments. This role plays a critical part in driving profitability, operational efficiency, and risk management across New Vehicles, Used Vehicles, Parts, Service, and F&I. The successful candidate must have strong automotive industry experience and be proficient in Dealer Management Systems (DMS) such as Kerridge and/or Pinnacle. Key Responsibilities Financial Control & Stewardship Full oversight of dealership financial operations and controls Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and cost control Financial / Dealer Management Systems (DMS) Controls Maintain and control DMS processes and data integrity Ensure correct financial postings across all departments Strong working knowledge of Kerridge and/or Pinnacle General Accounting Functions Month-end and year-end reporting Balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis Management accounts preparation and review Budgets, Forecasting & Strategic Support Prepare and manage budgets and forecasts Provide financial insights to support operational decision-making Partner with Dealer Principal and departmental heads to drive profitability Assets & Stock Control Oversight of vehicle, parts, and asset controls Regular stock and asset reconciliations Ensure adherence to internal controls and policies HR & Payroll Support Support payroll processing and payroll controls Leave controls and reconciliations Liaise with HR on financial-related employee matters Statutory Returns & Compliance Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements Submission of VAT, PAYE, UIF, and other statutory returns Maintain compliance with company policies and industry standards Audit & External Stakeholder Management Manage internal and external audits Liaise with auditors, banks, and external service providers Ensure audit readiness and resolution of audit findings BBBEE Management Support and manage BBBEE compliance and reporting Liaise with verification agencies where required Minimum Requirements BCom Degree in Financial Accounting or similar qualification 3–7 years’ experience as a Financial Manager within the automotive industry Proven experience working with Kerridge and/or Pinnacle DMS Strong understanding of dealership operations (New, Used, Parts, Service, F&I) Advanced Excel skills Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities High attention to detail and strong compliance mindset Ideal Candidate Profile Results-driven and commercially minded Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills Able to work independently and under pressure Hands-on, detail-oriented, and operationally focused
