Johannesburg: Sales Export Consultant (Africa)

Job Description

Required: Proven track record in sales, preferably in the industrial, mining or engineering products or services sectors. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in export sales or international business development. Experience in managing international client relationships and sales processes. Matric. Bachelors degree in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, or a related field with a technical back ground. Additional Certifications in international trade, export management, or related areas, are a plus. Proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is essential. Fluency in additional languages relevant to target markets can be a significant advantage (e.g. Spanish, French or Mandarin). Conduct market research to identify potential markets, industries and clients. Analyse market trends, competition and customer needs to develop sales strategies. Develop and implement export sales plans and strategies. Set sales targets and objectives for international markets. Coordinate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns. Work jointly with the sales director to negotiate terms of sales agreements, including pricing, delivery and payment terms. Prepare and manage sales contracts in terms of finding distributors in new territories. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with international clients. Proficiency in sales and customer relationship management (CRM) software. Analytical skills to interpret market data and sales performance. Organizational skills to manage multiple clients and sales processes. Flexibility and adaptability to work in different cultural and market environments. Meetings with the sales director to review targets and progress. Respond to emails and inquiries from international clients. Coordinate with internal sales for quote preparations and proposals for potential customers. Conduct virtual meetings with clients to discuss product requirements and solutions. Plan monthly site visits to African territories for customer solution finding and product recommendations. Identify and target new customers. Review and update sales contracts and documentation.
