About the Role
A refined, professional corporate dining environment is seeking a disciplined and quality-driven Sous Chef to join their team. The ideal candidate will thrive on structure, consistency, and exceptional standards, working closely with the Executive Chef to deliver world-class food and service in an upmarket setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and delivering menu items to exacting standards
- Contributing to daily menus, special events, and related costings
- Ensuring smooth service during peak periods
- Maintaining excellent quality, presentation, and portion control
- Managing pre- and post-service setup and close-down
- Placing orders and managing stock with strong cost awareness
- Upholding strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
- Supporting, guiding, and developing junior kitchen staff
Requirements
- Culinary Diploma or Certificate (essential)
- 8–10 years’ experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Upmarket or corporate hospitality experience preferred
- Strong food safety, hygiene, and inventory management knowledge
- Calm, organised, and resilient under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
