About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a talented and driven Chef de Partie (CDP) for a luxury wilderness reserve based in Clanwilliam, Western Cape. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate culinary professional to join a high-end hospitality team and deliver exceptional cuisine in a stunning natural setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage designated kitchen section and supervise section staff
- Maintain accurate stock levels and requisition supplies as required
- Plan and execute mise en place in line with kitchen SOPs
- Prepare dishes in accordance with recipe and timing standards
- Maintain a well-organised, clean, and hygienic section at all times
- Ensure all food is labelled, rotated, and stored correctly
- Report equipment faults or staff challenges promptly to the chef on duty
- Train section staff to uphold standards and execute menu items accurately
- Submit stock order requirements based on business levels to minimise waste
- Monitor and report fridge temperatures daily
Requirements
- Diploma in Food Preparation and Culinary Arts
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a 5-Star Lodge, Hotel, or Fine Dining Establishment
- Strong knife skills and a sound understanding of food safety and hygiene
- Well-groomed, with a high regard for personal presentation and cleanliness
- Solid English verbal communication skills
- Basic maths competency for kitchen calculations
- Valid driver’s licence
