About the Role
Our client, a leading Consulting firm in Midrand, is seeking two skilled Resident Engineers to join their team. As a key member of the project management team, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the technical aspects of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee construction projects from inception to completion
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams
- Ensure adherence to regulations, specifications, and quality standards
- Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays promptly
- Resolve construction-related problems and conflicts
- Coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
- Prepare and review project documentation, including reports and drawings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Resident Engineer in Consulting
- Strong knowledge of construction principles, practices, and regulations
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools
- Ability to collaborate within a team environment
