How you’ll role A leading international Golf Course Optimization company is seeking a skilled Installation Technician to join their dynamic team. The client specializes in optimizing golf course operations by installing state-of-the-art GPS trackers and Android tablets into golf carts. This role involves traveling abroad for training to perform installations in South Africa, ensuring that the technology is seamlessly integrated into SA clients golf carts. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of installation quality and addressing any challenges that arise on-site. What you’ll do Install GPS trackers and Android tablets into golf carts at various international locations Ensure proper integration with existing golf cart electrical systems Travel abroad for training in Spain, to complete installations at South African client sites Work with low voltage DC circuits and perform mechanical installations with precision and care Configure devices including mobile phones, tablets PCs, and GPS devices Develop strong working relationships with remote support agents Ensure timely execution of the installation process Execute installation procedures, perform final system checks, and ensure optimal functionality of systems before site departure Update the Field Management System, record on-site issues, and maintain accurate records of expenses and client interactions Maintain and replenish your toolkit, ensuring tools and spare stock are at optimal levels Ensure client sign-off, reporting, and ratings are completed for every site visit What you’ll need Excellent understanding of low voltage DC circuits Proficient in working with electric and mechanical Hand Tools Valid passport for international travel A valid drivers licence Must have previous experience in field installation or maintenance Proficient in using the Microsoft and or Google suite of products and comfortable working with software systems Fully embody the A customer’s problem is my problem mindset and proactively solve issues Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with peers, installers, and management to drive success Focus on accuracy in task execution and project management, ensuring the integrity of data for reporting purposes Ability to prioritize and manage workload to meet business deadlines and project milestones Able to handle changing circumstances and unexpected challenges with professionalism Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities to identify and resolve operational and technical issues Take initiative and be driven to complete tasks independently while adhering to processes and standards Maintain a positive, professional demeanor and appearance when interacting with colleagues and clients Experience in access control and security installations or auto electrical work is advantageous Formal qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar is advantageous
