Duties and Responsibilities
Functional Management
• Attending to Liabilities Portfolio including correspondence, telephone calls etc
• Attending to Liabilities to ensure maximum savings.
• Reporting on Liability Stats
• Adheres to local regulatory and governance requirements when attending to payments.
• Attending to Diary
• Follow-up on outstanding information and documentation
• Update System in respect of payments
• Load and process payments on system
• Attendance of staff meetings
• Preparation for staff meetings
• Update and maintain the Liabilities Register
• Assist the Liability Claims Manager with various matters.
• When a colleague is on leave to assist with that person’s workflow
• Appoint assessors where necessary.
• Negotiate best settlement options available.
• Check all the required documents are sent by the TP’s.
• Any other duties that may be required
Stakeholder Management
Claims
• Liaising with the Claims Department in respect of liability matters in order to ensure that all matters are attended to, and all information considered on a claim.
Broker Distribution & Other Sales Channels
• Liaising with distribution channels to update and align on liability claims within portfolio.
Underwriting
• Liaising with the Underwriting Department in confirmation of the cover and excesses that are noted on policies to ensure that correct claim settlement is reached. Providing reports on an Ad hoc basis as requested by Underwriting.
Leadership Accountabilities
• Model behaviours that demonstrate commitment to Company’s guiding principles.
• Take action to manage own personal development and encourage others to do the same.
Requirements
• 5 years’ experience in Liabilities or similar field
• LLB Law degree (admitted as an attorney will be advantageous)
• Knowledge of office administrative procedures
• Computer literate
