About the Role
Join our team at Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine, a world-class producer of Chrome Ore in the Limpopo Province, as a Receiving Clerk (B4) (Supply Chain). As a values-driven company, we care for our people unconditionally and offer a unique opportunity to work with us.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise the issuing and receiving functions of the Stores section as well as housekeeping and preservation of the stock.
- Effectively solve and report queries related to the Issuing Sections.
- Generate reports regarding stock levels and un-actioned pick slips.
- Support the receiving / issuing of the Store section.
- Monitor the availability of stock items in the stores for the purpose of production needs.
- Ensure correct storage and handling requirements for spares and equipment according to procedures.
- Assist in coordinating Receiving /Issuing of stock items according to processes and procedures.
- Reconcile and update all Issuing documentation.
- Coordinate cycle counts.
- Minimize and resolve cycle count variances.
- Reconcile physical balance with JDE balance for all stock.
- Ensure effective financial controls are applied.
- Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained.
- Perform PTOs and issue-based risk assessments as and when required.
- Ensure mine-wide availability of fuel.
- Supervise own teams activities whilst ensuring safe working practices.
- Liaise with internal and external customers to ensure good working relationships.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Standard 10 Certificate.
- Certificate: Storekeeping/Stock Control or relevant Supply chain certificate.
- Code 08 (B) Drivers Licence.
- 2 years Stores / Material Management in a Plant / Mining environment.
