About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a proactive, multiskilled, and guest-focused Lodge Manager to take full ownership of a boutique luxury lodge in Marloth Park. This live-out role is ideal for a local resident or someone willing to commute, who can manage the property with a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full guest journey from inquiry and booking through to check-out
- Deliver a personalised, high-standard bushveld hospitality experience
- Oversee housekeeping and garden staff, ensuring meticulous property standards and room readiness
- Conduct daily property inspections and manage maintenance requirements
- Handle minor repairs and coordinate with local contractors for larger technical issues
- Manage monthly operational budgets and petty cash
- Conduct weekly stock-takes of beverages, linen, and cleaning supplies
- Ensure adherence to Marloth Park regulations regarding noise, speed limits, and wildlife safety for guests and staff
Requirements
- 35 years experience in lodge or hospitality management
- Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent experience
- Strong administrative skills and proficiency in booking software (e.g., NightsBridge)
- Basic DIY and maintenance skills
- Exceptional communication skills and emotional maturity
- Valid South African Drivers Licence and reliable personal transport
