About the Role

A prestigious luxury safari camp in the Sabi Sands is seeking an experienced Senior Camp Manager to oversee all aspects of camp operations. This leadership role requires a dynamic, hands-on manager capable of ensuring exceptional guest experiences, high operational standards, and the smooth running of all lodge functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across all departments: guest services, housekeeping, F&B, guiding, and maintenance
  • Lead, coach, and manage camp staff, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and accountability
  • Ensure the highest standards of guest service, hospitality, and attention to detail
  • Monitor and maintain operational budgets, stock control, and resource management
  • Handle guest feedback, complaints, and service recovery promptly and professionally
  • Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental protocols
  • Coordinate with guides and operations teams to maintain wildlife and safari experience standards
  • Manage bookings, occupancy, and scheduling to optimize operational efficiency
  • Support recruitment, training, and development of camp staff
  • Report to ownership/management on operational performance, guest satisfaction, and financial metrics

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in luxury safari lodge or camp management, with proven leadership experience
  • Strong operational, organizational, and financial management skills
  • Exceptional guest service and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of safari operations, including game drives, guiding, and lodge logistics
  • Experience in staff management, training, and performance evaluation
  • Ability to work under pressure in remote, fast-paced environments
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Valid drivers license and willingness to work extended hours
