About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Banqueting Coordinator to join our 5* property in City Bowl, Cape Town. As a key member of our events team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional banqueting experiences for our discerning clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of banqueting events, including catering, decor, and logistics
- Ensure seamless execution of events, meeting deadlines and exceeding client expectations
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to drive business growth
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and upsell/cross-sell existing clients
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including event budgets and inventory management
Requirements
- 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
- Proven experience in a reservations environment, preferably in fine dining or banqueting
- Strong numeracy, verbal, and written English skills required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
