About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client in the construction industry is urgently seeking a Quantity Surveyor with expertise in managing contractual and financial aspects of projects under the FIDIC contract. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with COTO standards and Construction Procurement Guidelines (CPG), as well as preparing and monitoring project cost estimates, budgets, and cash flows.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all contractual and financial aspects of the project under the FIDIC contract.
- Ensure compliance with COTO standards and Construction Procurement Guidelines (CPG).
- Prepare and monitor project cost estimates, budgets, and cash flows.
- Conduct cost analysis and financial forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with the project’s contractual obligations.
- Review and prepare interim and final payment certificates.
- Measure and value variations and claims.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and site teams for cost control.
- Conduct risk analysis and identify potential financial risks.
- Prepare and review procurement strategies and subcontractor agreements.
- Manage the preparation and negotiation of claims and dispute resolution.
- Ensure compliance with legal and contractual requirements in terms of cost management.
- Maintain accurate records and reports for audit and review purposes.
- Oversee earthworks and subgrade preparation, layer works and pavement construction, asphalt surfacing, drainage structures and stormwater management, and road signage and markings.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the FIDIC contract.
- Have experience applying COTO standards and Construction Procurement Guidelines (CPG).
- Exhibit strong cost management, financial control, and forecasting abilities.
