About the Role
Hire Resolve, a leading South African private hospital group operating eight facilities, is seeking an experienced Head of Marketing to design and implement effective marketing tactical plans, policies, and governance structures across its Head Office and hospital facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Tactical Planning: Design and execute annual marketing operational plans and tactical strategies derived from the Group strategy.
- Governance & Standards: Establish marketing policies, SOPs, and governance structures; ensure compliance with quality standards across all service providers.
- Operational Leadership: Manage marketing proposals, service providers, budgets, and resourcing for Group-wide roll-outs.
- Brand & PR: Lead coordinated PR campaigns to increase brand awareness and trust; drive initiatives to enhance the value proposition for Doctors, customers, and patients.
- Market Intelligence: Drive bi-annual research and post-campaign analysis to identify trends, demographics, and regional opportunities.
- Project Oversight: Scope and manage Group marketing projects, utilizing data and trends to provide actionable insights.
- Technical Advisory: Serve as the technical SME for marketing matters, ensuring programs are correct in scope, content, and sustainability.
- Capacity Building: Provide guidance and training to marketing teams across the Group to ensure alignment and competency.
- Relationship Building: Develop strong internal and external partnerships to optimize the business value chain and promote cross-functional innovation.
- Alignment: Communicate departmental and customer needs to ensure alignment across the organization.
- Conflict Resolution: Balance diverse stakeholder interests and readjust priorities to meet changing demands.
- Performance Management: Implement performance plans, conduct talent reviews, and foster a culture of recognition.
- Mentorship: Coach direct reports and co-create training toolkits to build a steady skills pipeline and ensure succession readiness.
- Budgetary Control: Collaborate with the CMO to align budgets with tactical plans; monitor expenditure and manage variances.
- Efficiency: Drive cost-reduction initiatives and ensure the efficient use of resources across all functional areas.
- Compliance: Minimize financial risk and penalties by ensuring strict adherence to statutory requirements and internal governance.
- Data Analysis: Research and collate business intelligence to support management decisions and business strategy.
- Progress Tracking: Ensure accurate and timeous reporting on delivery progress against baseline plans with appropriate escalation.
Requirements
- Experience in a similar marketing environment (Healthcare experience in South Africa is highly advantageous)
- Proficient in developing marketing tactical strategies and policy development
- Proficient in Project Management, Data Analysis, and Stakeholder Management
- Prior sales-related experience is considered an asset
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Sales
