About the Role
Our client is a well-established international software solutions company with a strong track record of delivering high-quality, custom-built systems across a range of industries. They are currently looking for a Manual Tester to join their team in a hybrid capacity across Pretoria, Johannesburg, or Cape Town.
Key Responsibilities
- Test software applications to ensure they meet the required standards
- Develop and execute test plans and cases
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing needs
- Conduct functional, integration, and system testing of software systems
- Utilize test design techniques such as boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, and exploratory testing
- Perform backend testing, particularly REST or SOAP APIs
- Validate data using SQL skills for database testing
Requirements
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification and/or Agile Tester Extension certification
- 3 years of experience in Agile testing within cross-functional teams
- 5 years of overall software testing experience
- Strong understanding of test levels including functional, integration, and system testing
- Solid experience working within Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
- Proficiency in test design techniques including boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, and exploratory testing
- Experience with backend testing, particularly REST or SOAP APIs
- Strong SQL skills for data validation and database testing
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate in team environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
