Job Description
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the operational financial activities of the company, including tax compliance.
- Control the companys financial resources and ensure that all financial transactions, systems, and procedures comply with regulations, accounting principles, and standards.
- Ensure compliance is in line with the companys requirement to have a level 5 B-BBEE rating.
- Analyse the companys financial indicators to forecast its short, medium, and long-term cash flow position.
- Analyse required procurement spend and other B-BBEE level 5 spend and compliance.
- Work in conjunction with the companys B-BBEE adviser and other external advisers, including financial and legal advisers.
- The role is hands-on and will be responsible for leading the day-to-day financial operations.
Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of the South African IFRS for Small and Medium Sized Entities.
- Some experience of company tax, payroll taxes and VAT.
- Excellent verbal and written communication with strong presentation skills.
- Technology focused and data driven approach to delivering a finance function.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and its functions.
- Self-motivated team player, but also able to work alone.
- Relevant Diploma/Degree
- 2-4 years experience (relevant)
- Professional accounting qualification
