About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Civils Buyer to join our team at M&T Development, where you will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials, equipment, and subcontractor services for construction projects while balancing cost, quality, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials, equipment, and subcontractor services for construction projects
Identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers for construction materials and equipment
Negotiating terms and conditions, issuing purchase orders, and managing subcontractor agreements
Ensuring all procured materials meet technical specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards
Developing procurement schedules, analyzing market price fluctuations, and managing budgets to avoid cost overruns
Overseeing the site stores department, ensuring timely delivery, and reconciling stock

Requirements

3 years of experience in procurement within the construction or civil engineering industry
Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
Understanding of construction materials, technical drawings, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
Familiarity with contracting frameworks like FIDIC, NEC, or GCC

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
