About the Role
Hire Resolve is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Process and Formulation Lead to join our client’s team in the Food & Beverage industry. As the Process and Formulation Lead, you will be responsible for leading and managing the formulation and process development activities for new product development and existing product improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Testing recipes in the development laboratory with the aim to reduce costs and raw material usage;
- Independent recipe testing and carrying out of trials;
- Implementation and adaptation of new recipes;
- Creation and maintenance of product-specific master data in the IT system (SAP);
- Reducing the complexity of recipes by reducing the number of raw materials;
- Raw material selection/optimization based on cost optimization & avoiding sourcing constraints;
- Physical, chemical and visual testing of developments/applications;
- Product stability and shelf life testing;
- Liaise with Production on adjusted formulations and assisting with handovers;
- Liaise with Sales team involved as needed;
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Food Science or Food Technology;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a food technologist/scientist;
- Experience with SAP;
- Strong knowledge of formulation principles and manufacturing processes in the food and beverage industry;
- Experience with regulatory and quality standards in the food and beverage industry;
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams;
- Strong communication and leadership skills;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
