Midrand: Senior Accountant posted by Network Finance

• Leading and managing the month-end close process for several entities within the group
• Preparing and reviewing:
• Bank reconciliations
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Journals, accruals, and provisions
• Managing all intercompany transactions endtoend, including:
• Intercompany invoicing
• Shared cost allocations
• Intercompany loan accounts
• Ensuring that all reciprocal entries are aligned and reconciled across entities
• Compiling structured and accurate reconciliation packs for senior review
• Identifying and resolving accounting issues at source, rather than escalating them
• Acting as the key finance continuity point in the absence of the Group Finance Manager

 
 
Experience:

• 5–10+ years of handson finance experience
• Proven experience working within multientity environments
• Strong exposure to:
  • Intercompany accounting
  • Balance sheet reconciliation processes
  • Monthend close responsibilities
  • Operational, executionfocused finance environments
• A solid understanding of core accounting processes, controls, and reconciliation discipline
• Preferred Industry Backgrounds
• Candidates with experience in the following industries typically demonstrate the required operational finance exposure:
• Services
• Logistics
• Manufacturing
• Infrastructure
• Other operationally intensive businesses

 
Note: Candidates coming purely from audit backgrounds, without operational accounting experience, are not preferred for this role.
