About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Front Office Supervisor to join our team at Oude Werf Hotel in Stellenbosch. As a key member of our front desk operations, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, supervising daily operations, and supporting the team to ensure seamless and efficient processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Supervise daily operations, providing on-the-floor coaching and mentorship to ensure the team is inspired and aligned. In addition, support operations by covering duty management shifts.
  • Guest Excellence: Monitor guest sentiment and quality standards to ensure every journey, from arrival to farewell, is memorable.
  • System Management: Manage room inventory and shift logistics using Opera Cloud and other integrated hospitality tech.
  • Problem Solving: Act as the primary point of contact for guest resolutions and service recovery.
  • Operational Results: Support the team in achieving upselling targets while maintaining impeccable financial accuracy and smooth operational processes.

Requirements

  • Matric
  • Hospitality-related Tertiary Qualification (advantageous)
  • 2–4 years of front office experience, with 1+ years in a supervisory role in hospitality environment
  • Computer literate with experience with MS Office and 2 years’ experience in Opera Cloud
  • Ability to Work various shifts
  • Strong leadership and team supervision skills
  • Knowledge of hotel procedures, reservations, and guest services
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
