Job Description

Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant (CA)

Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
Job Type: Full-Time

A reputable firm based in Cape Town is seeking a qualified Senior Financial Accountant (CA) to join their team. The candidate needs to have 3+ years post-articles experience to join our finance team and will be responsible for financial reporting, cash flow management, tax compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making across our group of companies.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
Manage cash flow forecasting and variance analysis
Oversee VAT, income tax, and other statutory submissions
Liaise with external auditors and manage annual audits
Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Contribute to systems improvement and process optimisation
Assist with project finance, funding drawdowns, and cost tracking

Minimum Requirements:

Qualified CA(SA) with 3+ years post-articles experience
Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, tax, and financial reporting
Proven ability to manage deadlines and deliver in high-pressure environments
Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, lookups, etc.)
Experience in property, real estate, or project accounting a strong advantage
Familiarity with Xero, Sage Evolution, or similar ERP systems preferred
