About the Role

The Quality Controller – Manufacturing role is an essential part of our site’s strategic direction, focusing on continuous improvement of our Site SHEQ management program.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining the site’s strategic direction for continuous improvement of the Site SHEQ management program.
• Identify and report risks and hazards on site to the Quality Manager.
• Ensure outsourced products meet client and statutory requirements.
• Attend SHEQ meetings, provide feedback, and participate in technical meetings.
• Conduct inspections on received raw materials and during the manufacturing process.
• Quarantine defective products to prevent unintended use.
• Verify in-process inspections and report SHEQ matters to Operations Manager.
• Maintain quality control through effective inspections.
• Release products and services, including non-conforming output.
• Communicate customer property processes to QC Inspectors.
• Conduct daily site inspections on manufactured belts.
• Collect timesheets and manage employment-related issues for SHEQ Inspectors.

Requirements

• Minimum of a 3-year Qualification in Quality or Grade 12 with 3 years’ experience in Manufacturing.
• ISO9001 or Integrated Quality Experience (Advantageous).
