About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Training Facilitator to deliver structured training programmes across our business and at client sites. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being in front of a classroom, engaging with people, and creating an energetic learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate training sessions using provided material and facilitator guides
- Deliver highly interactive sessions using icebreakers, energisers, and group discussions
- Manage the classroom environment, ensuring participation and engagement
- Maintain energy levels throughout sessions
- Adapt delivery style to suit different learner levels (including senior staff and slower learners)
- Facilitate occasional one-on-one training sessions (e.g. sales coaching)
- Keep sessions aligned to timeframes and training objectives
Training Preparation & Setup
- Prepare training materials prior to sessions (printing, organising manuals, etc.)
- Set up training venues (projector, screen, seating, materials)
- Ensure all logistics are in place before the session starts
Administration & Compliance
- Ensure attendance registers are completed accurately
- Collect all required documentation:
- Training evaluation forms
- Facilitator feedback forms
- Capture learner information on internal spreadsheets
- Upload required documents to internal systems
- File hard copy documentation correctly
- Ensure all records meet compliance and reporting requirements
Coordination
- Assist with basic training coordination (e.g. confirming attendance, reminders if required)
- Travel to client sites to facilitate training when needed (use of company vehicle provided)
Performance Measures
Success in this role will be measured by:
- Learner feedback (training evaluation forms)
- Facilitator feedback scores
- Accuracy and completeness of administrative work
- Observable behavioural changes from learners (based on POE submissions)
Minimum Requirements
- Facilitator Certificate (essential)
- Minimum 4 years facilitation experience
- Strong classroom management skills
- Valid drivers licence and own transport (to get to Pomona)
Advantageous
- Assessor qualification
- Experience in security, logistics, or manufacturing environments
- Ability to communicate in additional South African languages

- Able to facilitate across all levels (blue collar to senior management)
- Comfortable handling difficult or disengaged learners

Working Style
- Initially guided and supported through train-the-trainer sessions
- Expected to become fully independent over time
- Must be comfortable working with a remote L&D Manager
- Strong ownership of both facilitation and admin responsibilities
