About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to join our team at a busy commercial truck workshop in Pongola. As a key member of our service centre, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our customers and contributing to the success of our dealership group.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy commercial vehicles/trucks
- Conduct fault finding and diagnostic work using leading truck/workshop brands (if applicable)
- Work independently within a busy workshop environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively
- Provide breakdown support, overtime, and standby duties as required
- Maintain accurate records of work done and customer interactions
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Trade Tested Diesel Mechanic / Diesel Technician Certificate (essential)
- Min 5 years exp. within a commercial truck workshop or dealership environment
- Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience working on heavy commercial vehicles/trucks
- Exposure to leading truck/workshop brands (adv)
Qualifications
- Valid Code EC / Code 14 drivers licence (adv)
