About the Role
Plan, manage, and optimise daily production processes within the precast concrete manufacturing facility to ensure efficient workflow and output. As a Production Engineer at Communicate Finance, you will be responsible for improving production efficiency through engineering best practices and collaborating with various teams to deliver seamless production.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and optimise daily production processes
- Improve production efficiency, workflow, and output
- Monitor production performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions
- Support quality control and ensure compliance with SANS, SANRAL, and internal quality standards
- Collaborate with design, maintenance, logistics, and management teams to ensure seamless production delivery
- Assist with process improvements, tooling, mould optimisation, and cost-saving initiatives
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and operational standards on the production floor
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a production or manufacturing engineering environment
- Exposure to precast concrete, construction materials, or heavy manufacturing advantageous
- Strong understanding of production planning, process optimisation, and quality systems
- Practical, hands-on engineering mindset with strong problem-solving ability
- Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities, and drive continuous improvement
- Competent in MS Office and production reporting tools
Qualifications
- BTech in Civil Engineering or Dip in Civil Engineering
