About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to lead our luxury safari lodge’s full F&B operation in Bela Bela, Limpopo. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional dining experiences, maintain 5-star service standards, and lead a high-performing team in a remote bush environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full food and beverage operation across the lodge
- Ensure exceptional guest dining experiences aligned with luxury standards
- Maintain high levels of service, presentation, and guest satisfaction
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service delivery
- Lead, train, and mentor the F&B team
- Manage staff performance and maintain team motivation
- Foster a positive and service-driven team culture
- Ensure staff adhere to grooming and service standards
- Monitor stock levels, ordering, and supplier coordination
- Implement and maintain stock control systems
- Manage cost control, wastage, and departmental efficiency
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Develop and manage beverage offerings, including wine and bar service
- Ensure consistency in beverage quality and presentation
- Stay up to date with trends and enhance the guest experience through innovation
- Handle guest feedback and resolve service issues professionally
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
- Maintain operational standards in line with lodge policies
Requirements
- Previous experience in an F&B management role within luxury hospitality
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent knowledge of food and beverage service standards
- Solid understanding of stock control, costings, and budgeting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and organisational ability
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Professional presentation and strong guest focus
