About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at Che Argentine Grill in Parkwood. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for driving food quality, consistency, and presentation while maintaining cost control and ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team
- Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Control food cost, portioning, and wastage
- Manage stock, ordering, and suppliers
- Ensure hygiene and safety compliance
- Oversee service readiness and timing
- Train, motivate, and discipline staff
- Communicate with FOH and owners
- Submit weekly operational reports
Requirements
- 3 years experience as Head Chef
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proven cost control and stock management experience
- Excellent hygiene and organizational standards
- Hands-on, proactive attitude
- Experience in grill/steakhouse environment (advantage)
- Able to work different shifts and weekends

Salary & Benefits
Salary: R20,000 – R35,000 per month (depending on experience)
