Job Summary
Key
Responsibilities:
- Materials Procurement: Responsible for sourcing metals (carbon steel, stainless steel, alloys), welding consumables, and protective coatings for fabrication processes.
- Equipment Procurement: Manage procurement of machinery (CNC machines, welding equipment) and material handling systems (overhead cranes, forklifts).
- Service Procurement: Subcontract and manage third-party services such as heat treatment, galvanizing, and logistics.
Requirements:
- Relevant Experience: Proven experience in procurement for fabrication, engineering, or manufacturing environments.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of material specifications, industry standards (ISO, ASME, AWS, etc.), and quality control procedures.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple suppliers, maintain timelines, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills for managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts.
