Job Summary
Location:Nasrec, Johannesburg
Requirements:
- Trade Tested Electrician (Red Seal)
- Wiremans license will be an added advantage
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
- Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Root cause analysis
- Able to read electrical drawing
- Able to work independently
- Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed
Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, machinery, and equipment in compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
- Conduct preventative maintenance routines to ensure longevity and efficient operations of electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using testing devices and diagnostic equipment.
- Regularly inspect electrical systems, circuits, and equipment to identify potential hazards or malfunctions.
- Report any electrical problems, safety concerns, or potential risks to the Maintenance Manager or relevant personnel.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal electrical codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff, engineers, and production personnel to ensure seamless operations.
- Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns to minimize downtime and ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.
