UPS Technician Cape Town Market related Salary A renowned Uninterruptible Power Supply UPS supplier based in Cape Town is seeking an experienced UPS (electronic) Technician to handle site installation, maintenance and repairs to a wide variety of sizes of UPS and battery backup systems. Were looking for someone with: In-depth technical knowledge of UPS systems (power electronic systems, controls circuits and components). Analytical aptitude, able to logically do fault finding and repair of UPS systems. The ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics. A solutions-driven, customer orientated mindset, that will build long lasting positive relationships with customers. The ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. The ability to work independently and follow instructions where necessary. The ability to work under changing work environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Responsibilities:
Service UPS and battery systems at customer sites. Produce accurate and detailed service reports and logs. Diagnosing UPS faults by testing to component level, make appropriate recommendations and take corrective action to repair UPS systems. Manage on-site installation and commissioning of new UPS systems, typically between 10 and 400 kVA. Perform on-site battery replacements of small and large UPS systems. Provide technical telephone support to assess UPS systems. Attend to after-hours callouts. Support the Sales Department through site visits, application identification, and equipment selection. Requirements:
Previous UPS Technician employment (minimum 8 years). National N6 Diploma and trade test in Engineering Studies: Electrical (Light Current / Electronics) Advanced computer literacy (MS Word/Excel/Outlook). Valid Code B drivers license. Physically fit, able and willing to do large UPS and battery installations and replacements. Previous experience implementing small projects. Offer Salary negotiable (experience dependant salary band R30 000 to R45 000 monthly basic salary) Company car
