Job Summary
SPA MANAGER V&A WATERFRONT – Cape Town – Western-Cape (ZA) Starting Date: A.S.A.P TRADING HOURS & SHIFTS: Monday – Friday 09:00 – 19:00 (open/close shift) Saturday 09:00 – 17:00 Sunday CLOSED – may change based on seasonal or operational requirements REPORTS TO: Owner REMUNERATION & COMPANY BENEFITS: Market Related Basic Salary Turnover Commission Annual Incentive Bonus (after one year of employment) MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Beautifully groomed & professionally presentable Confident in communicating with guests, employees and managers of other departments Managerial experience of a high-end salon or day spa is essential Certification from a recognized Training facility with qualifications in either Spa / Beauty / Cosmetology / Spa Management Computer literate with booking systems, emails and reports Own, reliable transport for traveling to Central Business District Must be able to fill in and perform treatments when operationally required NICE TO HAVE: City & Guilds / ITEC / CIDESCO / CIBTAC / SAAHSP or similar accredited education Knowledge of and ability to sell spa products Cruise Ship employment experience – highly beneficial Knowledge of spa & salon procedures and ability to perform them where operationally required International employment experience (land/sea) SKILLS & ABILITIES: train employees on spa protocols and follow up on company brand trainings lead and develop employees and services focus attention on guest needs – maintain rapport with guests promote positive relations with all individuals who approach the Spa perform job functions with minimal supervision Achieve and maintain targets Demonstrated comprehension of revenue and budgets Basic HR functions including employee relations, recruitment, assessments and evaluations Maintain profitability Implement compliance and safety protocols Oversee facility maintenance Inventory and stock control
