Job Summary
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Honours Degree in Commerce/Law/Actuarial/Business Administration/Risk Management at NQF8
- with 480 credits.
- Mandatory Professional Body Registration: Fellow of the Insurance Institute of South Africa (FIISA).
DUTIES/ KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS:
- The successful candidate must hold at least 15 Years Executive experience within a large corporate in the insurance industry.
- They should demonstrate behavioural skills, which include honesty & Integrity as required by the Prudential Standard GOI 4: Fitness and Propriety.
- The incumbent must demonstrate strong entrepreneurial leadership and sound knowledge of the non-life industry.
- Be able to formulate and implement strategic and operational plans.
- Create a sustainable business and ensure financial performance.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with the insurance legislation.
- Willing to uphold and perform the roles and responsibilities of Senior Management in terms of Prudential Standards (GOI 2 – Governance of Insurers
The ESCAP Chief Executive Officer appointment is subject to the Prudential Authority approval in terms of section 14 of the Insurance Act 18 of 2017.
